Diamonds and Rust - 3
Can you believe we’re already at episode 3? This week, we give a special thanks to Jennifer Holmes who created the “Diamonds and Rust” logo. Nika talks about going to see Tuna Oddfellow’s visual art performance in Second Life. Every week or so he hosts an event that is something not to be missed. As said in the podcast, its extremely difficult to explain. So here is a little youtube sample of what he does.

This past week, we visited the 2007 Jewelry Exposition on OnRez Orientation Island. Over 80 of Second Life’s finest jewelry designers exhibited their work in the week-long event with a charity auction to benefit the American Red Cross. There were also parties and a treasure hunt for 17 items by some of the exhibitors. Sadly, Daphne and I only found nine of the tiny treasures. We also found so much truly creative and detailed work that we had a very hard time choosing our favorite designers and pieces to share with you. We could be cruel and discuss the fabulous Antique Pearl Choker set from Paper Couture that included a gorgeous 3-strand pearl choker with a silver clasp and playful tassel finish and matching earrings. GBDT - 4 - Does this island make my ass look fat?
In Episode 4 of Going Broke with Daphne and Tamara, we interviewed Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot of Tete a Pied on the Nouveau sim ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/Nouveau/216/204/21 ). Ros and CJ tell us all about their business partnership from their meeting at an SL coffee shop to the opening of their second store housing their complete ladies clothing and accessory lines!
We were also fortunate to have Zoe Llewelyn grant us a written interview! While we would have loved to have her on the show, that unfortunately wasn't possible. However, she submitted written answers to our questions, and we will publish them in a blog post on this site. We visited Temenos (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Temenos/155/108/106 ), the island she built to house her amazing creations.
