If Web 2.0 is all about social networking, then Web 2.1 is antisocial networking.

Sick of seeing notices with names you don’t recognize?

Tired of conferences plussing some half-assed deejay and a contest?

Just another notch in someone’s karma, follower, or buddy list?

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to defriend in Second Life.

After the SL Under the Radar live recording on Sat the 19th, the SLPN building on Nowhereville was destroyed. Stuart Warf turned it physical, and the rubble was history. Not that I’m complaining, but I got hit in the head a couple times. Maybe someone should make warning stickers stating that falling buildings are dangerous. How was I supposed to know?

In a land far, far away…. well. Union, Illinois certainly SEEMS far away. But it’s really just a teleport away, or rather, a really cool build inspired by it is. It’s called the Far Away and it’s by AM Radio. With lots of interactivity, plenty of wheat, and blue dragonflies, there’s nothing about it that’s not interesting or fun or cool or… you get the idea. It’s one worth seeing. See how much someone can do with a little.

Some of the works seen in the build are for sale to benefit hunger via heifer international. Oh, yeah, it has a cool choo-choo.

It's not every day we get to speak with someone who's known by just one name, you know, like Madonna or Cher.  This week, we had the opportunity to do just that when we spoke with Simone Stern (okay, she has a last name) of Simone!

Simone is one of SL's most established and prolific designers and she has some great stories to tell!  Join us as we learn more about Simone's charity work and her store's TV debut on CSI: New York this past fall.

Welcome to Going Broke with Daphne and Tamara!

All music is from the Podsafe Music Network at Music.Podshow.com.

This week, for a change of pace, we spoke with Mr. Ryan Darragh, the Editor in Chief of Men’s Second Style. While Ryan doesn’t claim to know all there is to know about men’s fashion in Second Life, he does know what he likes and he does have some definite opinions.

First, Ryan told us about the newest trend in men’s fashion — the sculptie prim. The Second Life man could be attired in sculpties from head to toe, literally. In everything from hair to footwear, the sculptie has revolutionized men’s design. Read more
