UtR - 36 - The Toilet Bowl Part 2
In second life, you can find people who run the gamut from doing fantastic, impossible (in RL) things to those who settle for the more mundane, rarely breaking out of a RL styled existence aside from the obvious teleports and flying sprees. This time I continue my discussions with various notable citizens to find out what’s their idea of sensible and crazy in a virtual world where anything is possible. Do they want to inject the real into the unreal, or the other way around?

I really enjoyed this, it’s always interesting to hear how people view their SL and what they take take with them from RL when they log in.
I did want to comment on appearance, well more specifically nudity. I’m one of those odd residents who is shy about nudity.
I have several non traditional avatars I’ll wear, most notibly I do walk around as a unicorn at times. I change my appearance for fun quite regularly including crazy skins, hair, clothing and shapes, and I really enjoy it. I don’t think I am overly attached to looking good or ‘normal’ but nudity is the line for me, well my own nudity I should say, on others it’s fine. Lobster or no lobster
I can’t explain it, and I acknowledge it is ridiculous, but when I have wardrobe malfunctions it’s quite mortifying for me. I’ve run away and even logged off rather then letting people see me without pants.
I consider my avies appearance to be an important part of my character and persona, and showing my nipples is something my character would be embarassed about.
I’m sure I haven’t done a good job explaining why some residents are shy about their own nudity but I just thought I’d raise my hand wave and let you know I am one of them.
