We invited Second Life’s designers to submit review copies of their formals to us and each of us chose our absolute favorite gown and three runners-up. In Episode 11, we aren’t going to talk about clothes. We’re going to talk about islands. Well, islands full of clothes and other things we love shopping for. Recently, two of our favorite designers have opened up their own new islands, treating all of us to a relatively lag-free shopping experience. And one of our favorite islands has just reopened after recovering from a drastic face-lift. Finally, we’ll discuss two more shopping islands, one newly opened, and one on the way. Welcome to Second Style Stylecast!
The first island we visited was Nicky Ree’s Tropical Orchid. Nicky’s island is dominated by her new mega flagship Designing Nicky Ree shop. Here, you can find everything Nicky Ree for all of your fashion needs. Nicky’s neighbor on Deco, Shai Delacroix, also has her own new island for the Casa del Shai. While this island is open, it’s not quite finished! There’s a gorgeous new store on top of the island, but Ms. Delacroix is planning something more under the island. We’ll just have to wait and see what she’s dreamed up. But if the Casa del Shai garden is any indication, it will something whimsical and fun. Read more

You had to know this was coming. It wasn't a big secret. If you've been listening faithfully, as we know you have, you'd have seen this coming a mile away. Honestly, she was our Avatar of Style, a semi-featured designer (Savvy?), a frequent topic of conversation, a prominent SL model and muse, makes sense she'd appear as a guest doesn't it?
How could we go an entire show without mentioning her name? We couldn't. And if you're talking about style and fashion in SL, neither can you. Her name is almost synonymous with both. This talented Australian university student is an "IT" girl if there ever was one. She's creative, talented, and has an eye you wouldn't believe. If we didn't have her on the show soon, you should have forced us off of your MP3 player. Thankfully, we brought her to you, and we can continue to happily blow through Lindens like nobody's business. MWAH!!!!
